NetSuite is one of the largest cloud-based ERP systems in the market. Demand for NetSuite expertise is growing rapidly and more and more companies are looking for new grads who have validated NetSuite expertise. Companies that use certified professionals see more effective deployments and a greater return on their investment. Being certified will ensure that students will receive the recognition and the credibility they deserve, and will give students a competitive advantage in the workplace.
NetSuite ERP is one of the course modules covered in ACCT 3060: accounting information systems taught by Dr. Jacob Peng. In addition, NetSuite is offering free training to all students who are a part of the SuiteAcademy program through the partnership between SBUS and NetSuite Inc. This online course has a $4000 street value to our customers, but students of our participating program get this at no charge.
Typically, students have access for 30 days to complete the material, as there is about 40 hours of work and information in this course. This gives them a real solid understanding of the functionality of NetSuite, the ERP, CRM and Ecommerce portions of the product. With this course completed, students should have the knowledge to take the first level of certification. We call the 1st level SuiteFoundation, and that is what we encourage students to put on their resume (to be fully certified there are two exams).
